What is a Herd Name?
A
herd name is a designate of 4 letters (English
alphabet only; no special characters)
given to identify a particular breeder/member. This acronym will be
used as the prefix in the name of eligible hedgehogs. The prefix for
ineligible hedgehogs will be designated as one of the following:
PB - Hedgehogs purchased from private breeders who are not a
members of the NAHR.
P I - Hedgehogs purchased from
private individuals who are not breeders or members of the NAHR.
PR - Hedgehogs purchased from a member
of the NAHR who has restricted the pedigree/lineage
information.
PS - Hedgehogs purchased
pet shops, auctions, flea markets or other retail sources.

Herd
names cannot be changed once assigned |

Herd
names may be used only once. If the name you prefer is taken, you
must choose another. |

Only
1 herd name will be assigned per member. |
|
If
a member is part of a co-op, it is required that each individual have
their own herd name. |
