As is submitted by the breeder: Information given to the NAHR by the breeder that is accepted and then verified and recorded for future reference. Breeding Value: The
estimated value placed on a breeding hedgehog. Most commonly based on the following: Certificate of Ownership: An official document, issued by the NAHR, containing the recorded details about the hedgehog and the hedgehog's Owner. Dam: Mother Eligible Lineage: Lineage that was submitted by the member and verified by the NAHR. Herd Name: A herd name is a designate of 4 letters (English alphabet only; no special characters) given to identify a particular breeder/member. Lineage: The line of ancestors that the hedgehog is descended from. Pedigree: An official record of lineage. Pedigree Certificate: An official document, issued by the NAHR, containing the recorded details about the hedgehog and the hedgehog's lineage. Pedigree Privileges: When a member grants permission to the new owner to obtain a Pedigree Certificate. This decision is solely up to the member. Premium Registration: Registration type that records details pertaining to the hedgehog, the hedgehog's lineage and hedgehog's owner and includes the issuance of a Certificate of Ownership and a Pedigree Certificate. Sire: Father Standard Registration: Registration type that records details pertaining to the hedgehog and hedgehog's owner and includes the issuance of a Certificate of Ownership. STARS: A symbol given to denote each verified generation of lineage listed in a hedgehog's pedigree. Stud Service: When a male hedgehog is bred to a female belonging to a different owner; and the breeding results in live offspring. Stud Service Memorandum: A form that is required when a stud service has resulted in offspring that is to be registered. Verification of lineage: The process in which the NAHR confirms (to the best of its ability) the accuracy of the pedigree details.
